Headlining the rock stage at Oyster Bake 2019 was Starship! I’ve liked many of the incarnations of this band for a long time, since they were Jefferson Airplane, and much more psychedelic. Grace Slick isn’t with the band anymore, but the woman singing her parts is really good.

But Mickey Thomas sounds freaking UNBELIEVABLE! They came out with “Jane” and when he hit that epic high note and nailed it, it was amazing. He sounded so great, for a singer who’s been doing it as long as he has. I highly recommend checking them out whenever you get a chance!
