Metallica headlined day two of the 2018 Austin City Limits festival, and they brought the big show to Austin to rock the festival. They’re always great to see live, so go see them sometime!

It was a hot Saturday, and the band hit the stage running, so Kirk was drenched and dripping with sweat by the second song of the set, “Creeping Death”! They played all the hits, and some of the great new songs from their latest album, Hardwired…To Self Destruct.

Lars has some issues during the show that were kind of funny, one song he wasn’t even on the drum riser when he was supposed to come in, so the beginning of the song sound a little empty, and you could see James look back to see where he was.

The crowd was super into the show, and sang and chanted along with the songs, even the little hipster people who were trying to be cool and disdainful got into it. For a couple hours that night, the trendy, hipster town became a metal town.

And that’s never a bad thing.
