Since moving to San Antonio at the end of March, things have been sort of a whirlwind. I’m currently finishing up my fourth week of my new job with Cox Media Group San Antonio. It’s a great atmosphere, with lots of friendly people. I’ll go into that on another date.
April in San Antonio ends with a big festival called Fiesta. There are a ton of events, parades, and parties throughout Fiesta, including Oyster Bake. Two days of food, music, and drinking. Sounds great!
This year, the radio stations had some artists like Roger Creager, Maddie & Tae, Lou Gramm, Drowning Pool, Bret Michaels, and Tom Keifer performing, so lots of shows to see!
It was a good event, Saturday is definitely twice as big as Friday. But lots of foods, including Chicken on a Stick, and Steak on a Stick to try out. People have been talking about Chicken on a Stick for weeks, so I had to try it. If you haven’t had it, it’s basically a breaded chicken patty, skewered on a stick. You can get a jalapeno on top. I got mine dipped in the jalapeno juice, and that’s a pretty tasty thing.
Anyway, check out some of the live performances from Oyster Bake. I got all of the bands I mentioned. Enjoy!
